Lynne Youmans has been practicing family law in Hawai‘i since 1998. She has worked in private practice family law since 2005, and is a Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i veteran. Ms. Youmans focuses her practice in family law, including divorce, custody, restraining orders, child protective services actions, guardianships and adoptions.

Ms. Youmans started at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii in 1998 as an attorney for victims of domestic violence, specializing in custody and divorce. Although she always took cases in custody and divorce while at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, she eventually concentrated her practice in representing abused and neglected children as a Guardian Ad Litem in Child Protective Services cases. She maintained that focus until she moved into private practice in 2005. Since then, she continues to represent parents and children in Child Protective Services cases and continues to help families in custody and divorce cases.

Ms. Youmans went to law school at the University of Michigan where she graduated in the top 10 percent.
